Carly has been busy working on a surprise drawing that will be published in November!! Watch for it to come out!

She has also been working on at least three new designs for Christmas cards. Those also will be ready at the beginning of November. Go to the greeting cards page to order individual cards or to get a discount for ordering packages of cards. Carly’s Christmas cards are an affordable way to share your love for your friends and family this year, and they also double as a unique keepsake.

The latest drawing added to the website was a custom drawing, called PayDay and Myran. Myran is a woman that Carly worked with on the ranch in Wyoming and PayDay is one of the horses that was sold at the Diamond-McNabb Ranch Horse Sale in June.

The next show that Carly will have a drawing booth at is the Westernaires Annual Horsecapades on November 7th and 8th. She will be there all day both days and she will be taking Christmas card orders! Come check it out!

Business has been fairly steady for Carly’s Custom Cowboy Drawings. I had a booth at the Diamond-McNabb Ranch Horse Sale in Casper, Wyoming the weekend of June 6th. Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth and especially to those who purchased drawings

There are several new additions to the website. In the cowboy collection, ‘Cinch’ captures just another facet of the American cowboy in black and white. There are also several new pencil drawings under the custom collection.

*New* Cowboy cards are now available under the greeting cards page. They make great birthday or thank you cards, as well as just a fun way to say ‘hi’! Four different designs are available, all with a blank inside. They are a great deal at $3 per card!

Custom Christmas Drawings

I had several custom Christmas drawings that have just been recently added to the website. Check out ‘Shelby on Starlight’ and ‘Geoff and Leesa’ on the Westernaires Collection page. ‘Brian and Barb’ has been added to the Custom Collection page. ‘Sarah and Danny’ is a new one on the Wedding Collection page. ‘Cowboy Romance’ and ‘The Fisherman’ are new on the Cowboy Collection page. New Drawings

I have recently added two new pencil drawings to the Custom Collections webpage. One is going to be the cover illustration for a forthcoming book written by Dale Olson, titled The Burgess Long Range Repeating Rifle Model 1878. Dale is an avid gun collector and wanted to share his passion with other by recording the history of this particular type of gun. The book will be full of facts about the guns themselves, as well as interesting accounts of the guns’ uses throughout the settling of the west. I will keep you posted as to when and where the book will be available after it has been published. The second is a drawing of the chief executive editor of Western Horseman photographing the renowned horse trainer Ken McNabb teaching a horse named Zips Chocolate Chip to bow. This was done at the request of Ken McNabb, as a gift to the editor. Only two prints will ever be made of the drawing. One will be a gift to the owner of Zips Chocolate Chip in Texas. First Show and Christmas Cards

My first booth showcasing my pencil drawings at the Westernaires Annual horse show this past weekend was a success! I had fun and learned a lot. I have recently added two new drawings to the site. Under the Westernaires Collection, Four Horse Roman, is a drawing that I donated to Westernaires at Annual Show. It is of my brother Brian performing Roman riding with four of our horses, Wildfire, Jackson, Pawnee, and Romeo, at a show in Iowa. I had a lot of fun drawing it and I like how the horses turned out. The second is a custom drawing under the Custom Collection, of John Beason and his horse. John and his wife Brenda live in North Carolina. I met them in Texas last June at a riding clinic on Craig Cameron’s ranch. Also new to the site are the Christmas cards that Ken McNabb and I designed! They are finally available. The drawings are of Ken and his family: DeeDee, Kurt, and Trent. One is a manger scene, one is a sleigh ride, one is of the boys trying to decorate a tree, and one is of Ken saving a newborn calf in a snowstorm. I hope you enjoy the new additions! God Bless!

The Christmas card drawings have been finished and are being printed. The cards will be available on my website soon! I am currently working on several pencil drawings for illustrations in a book. I will give more information on the book later. In addition, if you would like to see my artwork in person, I will be having my first booth at a horse show! My booth will be at the Westernaires Annual Show at the Denver National Western Events Center in Denver, CO on November 1 and 2. Come and check it out!
